Father's Love
We are available for consultation, prevention and treatment of the physical and emotional health concerns of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. So as we prepare to celebrate his first Father’s Day, I felt it only appropriate to ask HIM what he has learned since becoming a dad, and what fatherhood really means. "Living life through your eyes has been my life's joy. I cherish every memory with you." "Being a father has been the pride of my life. No other accomplishment compares to being your dad." We do know that these loving fathers are the ones who are really contributing to the strengthening of family life, thus greatly assisting in the decrease in criminal activities. These are the fathers who know that the "good old days" were not all that good, and that to maintain a healthy family life requires one to take a new look at the way we do things. The habits and traditions of the "good old days" did very little to strengthen families. We often think of a mother’s love in colorful, warm, and tender terms; but we are reluctant to do the same for fathers. It was God’s design for a father’s love to complement a mother’s love. I think a lot of us have based our perception of who God the Father is on our earthly experiences.
He has also taught me the power of love and faith. What I loved about him was that he supported my interests and activities (electronics!) as he as was an engineer. I wished I had developed a stronger communication and bond with him in my teenage years – but that is easy to say now that my adolescent years are past. The original plan was that both parents would creatively weave their different ways of loving into a tapestry of knitted emotions, verbal expressions, affectionate displays, and intellectual harmony. There would be no competition, nor lack of love from either side. This type of loving would create a family chemistry that would ride through the roughest storms and sail over the darkest clouds.
I think the church would become very radical because when we live secure in our identity as the beloved children of our Daddy, we're not focused on trying to get what we need. We're not focused on that orphan mentality of protecting ourselves anymore, but we're able to love the people around us radically. We're able to be radically generous because we know who our Father is and we know that He provides for us. If the global church experiences the reality that God is a Father who loves us, I think the church would become so radically powerful in love.
As a top paternity test company, we know that’s not possible. Whether you are a single mother or a same-sex female couple raising children, a father figure can help fill the need. It could be an uncle, grandfather, teacher, pastor, or trusted neighbor.
Because I did not know my Heavenly Father I did not see Him for who He truly is. For me, I would say GOD IS MY FATHER. I see God as a protective, wise, LOVING, Father who is the perfect balance of love and pure devotion and wise discipline. It’s the sweetest thing SON to be a parent of a daughter. When they hit their twenties, they become these lovebugs that come back. The reason I am bad at cooking is my father always appreciated the dish I prepared, and I believed him.

Some of us shy away from the thought of God being our Father because that's been a very challenging or painful relationship. For teenagers and young adults, these periods of their lives tend to be the most stressful and uncertain. They, more often than not, seek out advice or a safe place to vent their frustrations with people they trust. Every time I look at my beautiful child it reminds me of how beautiful we are in the eyes of our Heavenly Father.
